Founded in 1990, we bridge the gap between frail homebound elders and insufficient funding. 
We’re the only county agency raising funds to deliver meals to those in need.

Our Mission

We support homebound elders to maintain their health and dignity, and enable them to live independently in the comfort and security of their own homes. We serve nutritionally at-risk senior citizens who have challenges that prevent them from preparing nutritious daily meals for themselves.

Our Story

Founded in 1990, Meals on Wheels Contra Costa was established to address the growing need for meal services among homebound seniors in the county, while facing limited government funding for these essential programs.

As a coalition, we are committed to providing comprehensive Meals on Wheels services to seniors throughout Contra Costa County.

We are the only organization in Contra Costa County dedicated to raising funds to fill the gap, ensuring homebound seniors receive the vital nutrition they need to stay healthy and independent.
